Baía was a planet in the Hundred Worlds, settled by humans of Brazilian descent. It was where the original colonists of Lusitania came from.[1]
Description
Baía was a planet close to Lusitania with a high population. Its residents originally came from Brazil, and spoke Portuguese as a language secondary to Starcommon.[1]
History
1830 years after the founding of Starways Congress, Lusitania was discovered by a robotic probe. Starways Congress gave the citizens of Baía, the nearest world with population pressure, a colonization license and a colony ship left the planet to Lusitania.[1]
Trivia
- While not the exact same name, it is likely that Baía was named after the Brazilian state of Bahia.
