David4d4d back with another blog post. On Saturday I finished all the major content for the Earth Awakens with all updates to these pages being done on the following Sunday in preparation for the release of the swarm today. Overall I would go off of my last blog post about the FFW trilogy and say that Lem Jukes is the most diverse character.
Just a couple minutes ago before writing this post I recieved The Swarm in the mail. I am excited to begin working on the Swarm after I just finished a the 5 or 6 month project where I was reading and updating the First Formic War info.Read more >
I would like to say congrats to the Wiki for finally reaching 400 pages. When I first arrived the Wiki was closing in on that mark, but when it was updated to enderverse only content it quickly got farther away from that goal. With the addition of the Swarm Ch. 1 pages and First Formic War information the wiki quickly reached that benchmark.
Hopefully the Wiki reaches another 100 pages as we go in detail on the Final First Formic Wars book, start the Second Formic War trilogy, and go into detail on the other books.
Have fun and continue editing.Read more >
Hello there, this is an update for anyone who happens to care. Today is July 4th which is when I finished updating Earth Afire after finishing the book a couple minutes before July 3rd was over. Anyway, the major information for Earth Afire is complete. I have enjoyed doing this and will begin to move on to the final book in the trilogy Earth Awakens, which I am to finish before The Swarm is released.
Earth Afire itself was an enjoyable book. I like how we have learned more about Mazer Rackham and who he was before Ender's Game making him less of a cold face and more of a caring friend. Also, I have thoroughly enjoyed the Lem Jukes story line as he appears to be the most in depth character, due to his slight dark side but good intentions. Hope e…Read more >
On June 15, 2006, members from the Philotic Web community founded the Orson Scott Card Wiki, called the Ansible Wiki for short. The Philotic Web used to have an encyclopedia, documenting various things from the Enderverse. At the time, Wikia itself was only a year old, and the platform looked completely different from how it does today, ten years later. However, due to reasons unknown to me the encyclopedia was shut down, and the community moved the old pages to this wiki. At first, enthusiasm for this wiki was high, and many different contributors added pages to kick-start the community. However, soon the founders and admins lost interest, and left the wiki to fend for itself.
Let's take a look back at the history of this wiki, spanning ac…Read more >
The whole "BSC" and "SC" timeline has been bugging me for awhile, because it is contradicted multiple times in the books and because the "0 SC" date is nowhere near any significant events.
I've created a new timeline for the wiki - see Enderverse Timeline for the specifics. This one is much easier to date from than the old calendar.
While you are editing pages, please take the time to convert a calendar date to the new timeline if you have the chance, or add a date if there is not one to begin with.
Hopefully this will lead to the wiki having a better-structured timeline page and for article pages to have more dates.Read more >
Finished reading Earth Unaware the other night, so before I continue reading the First Formic War trilogy with Earth Afire. I am going to catch up on any characters I missed or anything else in the novel that doesn't have a page yet. I believe I have already caught up on characters with pages already. I have done the pages on Rena and Segundo. As soon as I do a page on Marco, and do one chapter on the MOPs I missed I will begin reading Earth Afire. I may come back to Earth Unaware for some other minor characters on the crew of El Cavador that did stuff such as Selmo, Dreo, and a couple others. But once I have done Marcos and add in the one MOPs chapter I have done most the major stuff from Earth Unaware.
As of March 17 anything major from E…Read more >
After realizing that the desktop main page displays awfully on mobile platforms, I spent some time creating a specialized mobile main page. What do you think? I've spent all my time with Wikia on a desktop, and am not too familair with the mobile site. If there's anything you think should be added, comment it here.Read more >
For anyone who comes upon this. I have enjoyed helping out with the wiki the small size of the wiki allows for me to notice how I have helped out. Since I started about a week ago I have added several articles dealing with the first formic wars. There is also easy acces to information about how to edit and make pages compared to more major wikis. The major moderator is also extremely helpful and gets on at least once a day, so one can be sure any concerns about the wiki will be heard. Anyways if this helps anyone or makes anyone want to help out more then continue helping and feel free to ask me for help.
Also at the moment I am reading Earth Unaware and am about to move onto Earth Afire, so I am going to be updating the information on cha…Read more >
Due to the extreme absense of any sort of authority on this wiki, and the complete mess that the pages and categorization are in, I'm petitioning to adopt this wiki.
I've already done more than 300 edits to get this wiki back up to shape, but there's far more nessesary fixes that I'm currently unable to do, as I'm not an admin. Now, I know someone also recently petitioned to adopt, but they were rejected because they had adopted another wiki in the past month.
If anyone has an objection(If there's anyone still here), please inform me.

So what did you guys think of it? I personally liked the movie, though I felt that it wasn't the best it could be. I know that it was Orson Scott Card himself that decided to omit Peter and Valentine's shenanigans from the movie, but some mention, even if it was just a sentence during the part where Valentine and Ender were together on the raft, would have done it for me.
So, what about you?

Three new posters for the upcoming Ender's Game adaptation were released today, each one sporting a "propaganda" theme, appearing as you might expect a rallying poster to appear in Ender's Game's future. They all warn that "The Next Invasion is Imminent" and feature the official seal of the International Fleet.

Greetings Enderverse patrons! We've waited a long time for Orson Scott Card's beloved book Ender's Game to grace us with its presence as a film, and at long last we have definitive photographic proof of development! As the Launchies line up to recieve orders from a mature looking Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford), the picture captures the tension mounting in Ender as he is stared down. The dynamic between the two seems to be spot on while the set looks as futuristic as can get.

I flagged an article for deletion but it turns out there is no deletion template, I would like somebody to make one so we can properly flag articles for deletion. The article I am flagging was composed of a lot of incoherent language which doesn't seem to mean anything.Read more >
I have been trying to find an administrator on this wiki, but I haven't had success. If any admins are reading this, I'd like to know if it would be possible for me to become a rollback or administrator on this wiki. I will continue to edit and help this wiki nevertheless, but in the meantime would you consider my request? Thanks.
