Sergeant was a boy who lived on the streets of Rotterdam. He was the self-proclaimed second-in-command of Poke's Crew.[1]
While conducting his usual rounds, Sergeant found out that a young girl's body had been found in the river and went to investigate. When he reported to Achilles de Flandres that he had identified the murdered girl as Poke, Achilles ordered him to spread the word that Ulysses had killed her and could not be safe from Achilles' vengeance while in Rotterdam. Achilles accidentally revealed the crucial detail that Poke's eye was marred and bloody, which Sergeant had not told him. Sergeant obeyed these orders and decided not to tell anyone that Achilles had murdered Poke, which he had realized due to Achilles' revealing word choice.[1]
