Founding
Ganges was a planet founded in the initial emigration from Earth as a part of the Dispersal Project.[1]
It was governed by Battle School graduate Virlomi. Arkanian Delphiki and his mother were colonists on the planet. It was the first planet that Ender Wiggin and Valentine Wiggin visited after leaving Shakespeare.[1]
Philotic Experiments
In around 2000 AX, researchers on Ganges conducted an experiment that claimed to prove that human Philotic twinings twined with other humans, usually families or friends. The Hindu scientists concluded that this proved that humans were higher beings than animals, nearer to perfection.[2]
Trivia
- While first mentioned in Xenocide, the planet did not make an appearance until Ender in Exile was released.[2][1]
